Don't copy the behavior and customs of the world but let God transform
you into a new person
by changing your way of thinking. When you find yourself in situations
where you are frustrated
and need
things to change but things seem out of your control, you have to
change the way you
look at and deal with the
situation. Satan lives to mess with you and put
challenges and frustrations in your path, but God is there to give you
strength and guidance.

Mission Kids raised $250.00 to help needy kids in other countries by
making and
selling jewelry and crafts. With that money, Carpsonamission was able
to
provide school clothes and personal hygiene items for 17 kids from a
poor
community in Colombia that is part of a social outreach program at PIBA
(First
Baptist Church of Armenia)
The
kids were very excited and thanked God that kids like them were willing
to work
and raise money to help them.

These
are some of the kids PCC was able to help!

The
bags each included two school shirts, soap, shampoo,
socks, underwear, lotion, powder, and a little bag of candy.
Nine
of the kids were present at church on Sunday to
receive their package. The rest will receive theirs this week.
Being surrounded by so much nature and
beauty, I am reminded that God wants to spend time with me. We all have
busy schedules and so much going on that our minds always seem to be
racing from one
task to another. God is the one who equips us to face the day so don't
skimp when it comes to the time
you spend with Him.
As we end to the end of the third quarter
and look forward to Easter, the seniors are counting the days and
the rest of the students have to be reminded that there is still a lot
of work to do. We are starting to get
things in motion for our move to Guatemala. It is always exciting to
look forward to new things but
there is still a lot of opportunity here that we need to not overlook.
I constantly remind myself that you
can think about the future but you need to live in the present!
For we are God's
workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do Ephesians 2:10).
We
need to remember that we are workers for God and not just people with
jobs. I know about this time of year
I start to get frustrated with the students and have to remind myself
that it isn't the material that
I teach that is really the priority, but my attitude and character that
have a more lasting impression.
Kids will learn what they need to know eventually -- either the easy or
hard way --
but the difference in their lives are the relationships and life
lessons they get along the way.
I always tell people when they ask me
about Colombia that is one of the most beautiful places I've lived and
that is true. On
a
daily basis, it is like a summer vacation attitude every day, only
interrupted by having to go to work!
It is
amazing that in a period of 15 minutes, you can see this much variety,
and, the fact that it is only
the tip of the Creator's fingertip that you've seen so far!
"For
I know the plans I have for you,’ declared the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope
and a future" (Jeremiah 29:1)
Our desire for you is to see God's plan for you revealed in your life
and to take hold and embrace and enjoy it, knowing it was designed
especially for you. Look forward to each day and see it as a new chance
to see what God has in store for you. He will keep giving you chances
as long as you ask for His guidance and desire to follow His lead.
