An Okinawa Bull Fight

The event starts out with a ceremony where the owners of the bulls participate
in a parade and some festivities.

Salt is spread around the ring for good luck and to ward off evil spirits
in accordance with the Shintu religion.

The fight is actually two bulls pushing against each other in a
show of strength. The bull holders are only there to incite
the bulls with yelling and stomping, though it didn't seem too effective.

When one bull gives up and runs away, the other is declared the winner.
He gets towels drapped over him and paraded around the ring.

The slate for the day we were there included 13 different fights. About 2,000
people showed up but at no charge, most of the money is made from wagering.
